Happy World Rat Day!

Happy World Rat Day! Today we celebrate our furry, four-legged friends who are often misunderstood and underestimated. While many people may find rats to be unpleasant or even scary, there are plenty of reasons to appreciate these intelligent and fascinating creatures.

First of all, did you know that rats are incredibly social animals? They form close bonds with other rats and enjoy playing and grooming each other. In fact, some studies have shown that rats can experience empathy and even exhibit altruistic behaviour towards their companions.

Another fun fact about rats is that they are excellent problem solvers. They have been known to use tools, navigate complex mazes, and even figure out how to open doors and escape from cages. These skills make rats popular test subjects in scientific research, but they also make them great pets for people who enjoy interacting with smart and curious animals. We wonder how they'd fare in our fiendishly challenging Codebreakers room...

So how can you celebrate World Rat Day? If you're lucky enough to have a pet rat, make sure to give them plenty of love and attention today. Or why not visit us at South  Kentish Town disused tube station and play UNDERGROUND 2099, the thrilling escape room adventure that takes you deep into the underground tunnels of a dystopian future. As you navigate the dark and dangerous passageways, you soon discover that the future is under threat from the mutant King Rat himself...

King Rat, as his name suggests, is a giant, mutated rat who has taken control of the underground tunnels and built a network of loyal rat followers. He's a formidable foe, with sharp teeth and powerful jaws that can tear through metal, and he's not afraid to use his rat minions to do his bidding.

But whether you're facing off against mutant rats or just trying to navigate the twists and turns of the underground tunnels, one thing is certain: you'll need to be smart, resourceful, and maybe just a little bit fearless if you hope to escape. So, Happy World Rat Day, and good luck on your journey through Underground 2099!
